Above is a photo of a $1.00 top I purchased at TJ Maxx today! I bought it for my daughter, but I might need to borrow it from her.

I'm hoping to have more photos of the rest of my purchases tomorrow. My daughter was too tired after school and practice to try on clothes.

I'll post photos of my deals later, but I wanted to let you, my readers, know that TJMaxx had tops on sale today from $1, shorts from $3, pants from $5!  I'm not sure if this is a regional (I'm in northeast Ohio) or national sale. The sales associate told me that they would continue bringing things to the front of the store as the racks cleared in front. If you are out and about, you may want to hop in and check.  I just happened to be making a quick return and hit the jackpot!  I walked out paying $15 for 6 articles of clothing and an Ohio State Clock/Thermometer for my hubby!

I'll check Marshall's when I drop off my daughter from band practice later tonight!  I would think Marshalls would follow the same sales/clearance season as TJMaxx.

Lenox Napkin or a Pillow?

When I first started my blog, I blogged about turning a napkin into a pillow. When I came across this adorable Lenox Chirp Napkin this morning, I thought it would be lovely as a pillow.  The napkins are on sale for $5.99. Expensive for one napkin, but as a pillow, all you would need is one napkin and leave the backside a solid color.   The napkin to pillow tutorial I first posted is no longer available, but Centsational Girl has a great no-sew tutorial! I LOVE her amazing blog too!

I was thrilled to be given the opportunity to review WEN hair products.  The WEN System was designed by Los Angeles Stylist Chaz Dean.  He developed the concept of cleansing the hair without detergents or harsh chemicals.  Harsh detergents and lauryl/laureth sulfates found in most shampoos, damage the hair.  WEN is a healthy alternative to cleansing hair. 

For my review, I was given the WEN Pomegranate Cleansing Conditioner and Sweet Almond Mint Replenishing Treatment Mist.  WEN Cleansing Conditioner replaces shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner, detangler and leave-in conditioner, giving you FIVE products in one bottle! I like a clutter-free shower, so this is quite a plus!

I first started with the Cleansing Conditioner. I rinsed my hair with cool water for about a minute. I used 8 fully compressed pumps of the Cleansing Conditioner on my entire head of hair. The directions called for 24 pumps. I found that I needed less pumps than what the directions called for, but everybody's hair is different. I added a tiny bit of water, worked it into my hair and let it sit for approximately 3-5 minutes while I shaved and washed the rest of my body.  The Cleansing Conditioner smelled wonderful and I enjoyed the amazing scent while showering! Finally, I rinsed my hair with cool water while massaging the scalp and running my fingers through to the ends of my hair.  It's a great feeling when you add water to the WEN Cleansing Conditioner.  The hair instantly turns light and silky. I could feel my hair was silkier after just one application! If needed, WEN Cleansing Conditioner can also be used as an overnight treatment!  

I used Sweet Almond Mint Replenishing Treatment Mist to restyle my hair in between cleansings and to freshen my face and set my make-up as well.  All around, it's a great, lightweight moisturizing spray for face and body!    The almond and mint scents combined together are so refreshing and smell terrific!

I am very impressed with the WEN hair products.  My hair feels silkier, softer, and healthier.  It seems to shine more too! I would definitely recommend WEN hair products.
